Waterjet Cutting
Cold-process abrasive waterjet cutting — no heat, no distortion, any material up to 200 mm thick.
Overview
What is Waterjet Cutting?
Abrasive waterjet cutting uses an ultra-high-pressure stream of water (up to 60,000 PSI) mixed with fine garnet abrasive particles to erode material with extreme precision. Because the process generates no heat, there is no heat-affected zone, no metallurgical changes, and no thermal distortion.
This cold-cutting characteristic makes waterjet the only viable cutting method for heat-sensitive materials: pre-hardened tool steel, titanium alloys, carbon fibre composites, rubber, foam, and laminated materials that would delaminate under laser heat.
At OrangeSea CNC, our 5-axis waterjet heads allow bevel cutting and V-groove profiles, eliminating secondary machining operations on many fabrication jobs.
What We Offer
Waterjet Capabilities
Abrasive Waterjet
High-pressure water mixed with garnet abrasive cuts virtually any material up to 200 mm thick.
Cold Cutting
No heat-affected zone — perfect for titanium, CFRP, rubber, and heat-treated materials.
Any Material
Metal, stone, glass, ceramic, rubber, foam, composites — if it can be submerged, we can cut it.
±0.1mm Accuracy
Cutting accuracy of ±0.1 mm for flat profiles. Taper compensation for angled cuts.
Up to 200mm Thick
Thick plate, armour steel, and exotic materials that lasers and plasma cannot penetrate.
Large Format
Table size 4,000 × 2,000 mm — handle large panels and structural parts in one shot.

What We Can Cut
Process Advantages
Why Waterjet?
No heat-affected zone
Material properties fully preserved — critical for titanium, CFRP, and heat-treated alloys.
No thermal distortion
Parts do not warp, discolour, or change microstructure at the cut.
Any material
Cuts materials that lasers and plasma cannot — stone, glass, rubber, and thick exotic alloys.
Large format
Table size 4,000 × 2,000 mm — structural plates and large panels in one cut.
Taper compensation
Active head tilt eliminates natural beam divergence on thick materials.
Documentation with every order
