Laser Cutting

Clean, burr-free fibre & CO₂ laser cutting for metals, plastics, and composites — fast turnaround, any thickness.

Overview

What is Laser Cutting?

Laser cutting uses a focused, high-energy beam of light to melt, burn, or vaporise material along a programmed path. The process produces clean, narrow kerfs with smooth edges — often requiring no secondary de-burring on thinner materials.

Fibre lasers (our primary platform) are ideal for reflective metals like aluminium, brass, and copper where CO₂ lasers struggle. High-power fibre systems also cut thick mild steel and stainless with exceptional edge quality at speeds CO₂ cannot match.

At OrangeSea CNC, our 6 kW fibre laser handles sheet sizes up to 3,000 × 1,500 mm with automated material handling, allowing us to process high volumes with consistent quality around the clock.

What We Offer

Laser Cutting Capabilities

Fibre Laser Cutting

High-power fibre laser for clean, precise cuts in mild steel, stainless, and aluminium.

✂️

CO₂ Laser Cutting

CO₂ laser ideal for acrylic, wood, and non-metallic materials up to 25 mm.

📏

Up to 25mm Thickness

We cut mild steel up to 25 mm, stainless up to 15 mm, aluminium up to 12 mm.

🔲

Tight Tolerances

Positional accuracy ±0.1 mm, kerf width as narrow as 0.2 mm for fine features.

🔥

Nitrogen / O₂ Assist

Nitrogen assist for oxide-free stainless cuts. Oxygen for thick mild steel penetration.

How It Works

Our Laser Cutting Process

01

DXF / CAD Import

Upload DXF, DWG, or STEP files. We check geometry for tight corners and minimum feature sizes.

02

Material & Thickness

Select material, thickness, and finish. We advise on optimal laser parameters.

03

Nesting

Our nesting software maximises sheet utilisation to minimise material cost.

04

Laser Cutting

High-power fibre laser cuts your profiles with automated loading/unloading.

05

De-burring

Cut edges deburred and cleaned. Optional brushed, primed, or powder-coated finish.

06

Inspection & Ship

Profile dimensions checked against drawing before packing and dispatch.
