Quality Assurance
Parts That Pass Your Inspection
Every OrangeSea CNC order ships with documented proof — CMM reports, material certs, and conformance declarations. Not because it's required. Because it's right.
Documentation
What Ships With Your Parts
Documentation is not optional — it is part of the product. Engineers and quality managers receive everything they need to pass incoming inspection.
CMM Dimensional Report
Coordinate measuring machine output showing actual-vs-nominal for all critical dimensions. Provided in PDF with measurement uncertainty noted.
Material Certificate
Mill-original material traceability certificate including alloy grade, heat/lot number, and chemical composition analysis.
Certificate of Conformance (CoC)
Signed statement confirming parts were manufactured and inspected per your drawing revision, applicable standards, and any specified tolerances.
First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR)
Full AS9102-style first-article package covering all drawing callouts for new part numbers entering series production. Required for aerospace and medical customers.
Surface Finish Report
Profilometer measurement of Ra values for ground, polished, or specification-critical surfaces.
Packaging & Shipping Documentation
Packing list, part labelling with part number and revision, and any export documentation required for international shipments.
Sample Documentation Pack
Want to see what our CMM reports and CoC documents look like before placing your first order? Contact us and we will send a redacted sample documentation pack.
Note: Sample reports contain anonymized/redacted customer data. Actual documents are customer-specific.

Quality Gates
Seven Checkpoints Before Shipping
Problems are cheaper to find early. Our staged QC process catches deviations at material intake, not at your dock.
Incoming Material
All raw material is checked against mill certs before cutting. Non-conforming material is quarantined and returned.
CAM Review
CAM programmes are verified against the drawing by a second programmer before first cut.
First-off Inspection
The first part from every setup is measured against drawing before the full batch proceeds.
In-Process Probing
Renishaw probes measure critical features during machining. Deviation triggers automatic tool-offset correction.
Post-Machining CMM
Critical dimensions are re-measured on the CMM after machining is complete.
Final Inspection
100% visual inspection. Dimensional sampling or 100% inspection per customer requirement.
Documentation Pack
CoC, material cert, and CMM report compiled before packing. No part ships without its documentation.
Quality Management
ISO 9001:2015 Certified QMS
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and governs every process from supplier approval to customer delivery. Internal audits are conducted bi-annually by an independent auditor.
We are actively working toward AS9100D certification. Customers in aerospace and defence with existing AS9100 supplier requirements should contact us to discuss current capability and timeline.
Certifications & Status
We publish our certification status honestly. If you require a specific certification that is not listed, contact us before ordering.
